An essential component to getting better is that the patient is motivated to change their symptom aggravating behaviors and do self-care at home to augment treatments. To expect a Therapist to heal you is not a recipe for success. Your Therapist may give you advice on general wellness changes to your lifestyle, posture awareness exercises, and specific stretch or strengthening exercises to do at home. These are designed and recommended based on your assessment results and treatment goals and are an integral component to getting better. Your homecare exercises may be discussed during treatments or shown to you at the end of your treatment. They can always be reviewed at your request.
